Taking the Pea is taking the snacking world by storm! 🌱 We’ve taken the humble marrowfat pea and turned it into a healthy, planet-friendly snack that’s good for everyone. Packed with protein, high in fibre, and low in fat, our pea snacks are not only tasty but soil-enriching too! Our balls of goodness come in four different flavours - Sweet Chilli, Smoked Ham, Cheese & Onion and of course, Wasabi (because what is a pea without Wasabi!)
We’re a start-up, which means we’re small (but mighty) team on a mission to make snacking healthier and more sustainable. Join us on our journey to bring fun, guilt-free snacking to the masses! 🌍💚
Small. Mighty. And on a mission to change the UK snacking industry...

Hugo Morris is an entrepreneur with a passion for revitalizing brands and bringing innovative products to market. Under his ownership, Taking The Pea has undergone a rebrand and this, along with the introduction of new flavours, has placed the first stone on our path to success. With his guidance, we have built up an increasing recognition throughout the UK, which has resulted in listings with Selfridges, The Royal Albert Hall, and being an official Wimbledon snack.
Hugo's overall strategic vision and advice have been instrumental in the brand's growth and success. His entrepreneurial spirit continues to drive Taking The Pea forward, making it a standout in the healthy snack market.

At Taking The Pea, Will oversees all things finance—from financial planning to modelling—making sure the company remains on a strong and sustainable growth path. His analytical mindset and strategic expertise ensure that while our peas may be light and crunchy, our financial foundations are anything but.
Before joining Taking The Pea, he was Managing Director at boutique consultancy firm CoLo Consultancy, advising clients on strategy and operations. Prior to that, he spent five years at Deloitte in M&A, helping companies navigate complex financial decisions and transactions.
When he’s not deep in spreadsheets, Will is still attempting to learn Spanish and also occasionally performs stand-up comedy (badly).

With a wealth of experience in the food and beverage industry, Peter Smillie knows what it takes to bring great products to market. Having played a key role in launching successful new offerings at Boe Gin, he’s now leading the charge at Taking The Pea, making sure our snacks reach as many customers as possible.
Peter thrives on building relationships, finding new opportunities, and driving growth. His passion for great food (and great sales) means he’s always looking for innovative ways to share Taking The Pea with the world. If there’s a way to sell peas, Peter will snap it up.
When he’s not busy closing deals, Peter enjoys long-walks through the Scottish Highlands and having his heart broken by watching Scotland at Murrayfield.
